A City is Not Responsible for Financing Non-Infrastructure Property Developments

It is possible for city revitalization to take place without public dollars.  In Hamilton, Ontario, the Vrancor Group has purchased properties in the Bay, Hess, King and Main streets area for a commercial development.  To date, no applications have been made to the City of Hamilton for incentive grants.

Hamilton has an opportunity here to set an example for other cities by understanding that non-infrastructure property developments are not its responsibility and, therefore.

incentive grants for such use should be discontinued.
