Brantford’s “Education Avalanche?” If Former Mohawk College Elgin St. Campus is Integral Part of Mix

Focus on Brant reports on an “education avalanche” in Brantford, Ontario. How is this so when Brantford is loosing Mohawk College’s self-contained campus precinct on Elgin Street?  A campus that helped to meet the growing need for trade skills training.  A campus complete with ample parking, and you’re not going to believe this…wait for it—an ATHLETICS COMPLEX.  Imagine that!

With Ontario’s deficit at about 12 Billion and public-held debt weighing in at about 275 Billion how will The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (and the City of Brantford, with a $40 Million debt) ensure that FOURTY (40) years of taxpayers’ dollars invested in the Elgin St. campus does not go to waste?

Did we mention that the Elgin St. campus has an…ATHLETICS COMPLEX?
