“It’s the pollution, stupid”

It’s not about human-made climate change.  (Robert and Leo, you can go back to acting now.)

It’s about human-made pollution.

It’s about waste in our air.

It’s about sulfur oxides in our air.

It’s about nitrogen oxides in our air.

It’s about carbon monoxide in our air.

It’s about waste in our water.

It’s about sewage treatment contaminants in our water.

It’s about raw sewage in our water.

It’s about industrial contaminants in our water.

It’s about polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons in our water.

It’s about urban runoff contaminants in our water.

It’s about garbage washing up on our shorelines.

It’s about plastics washing up on our shorelines.

It’s about waste in our soil.

It’s about petroleum hydrocarbons in our soil.

It’s about solvents in our soil.

It’s about pesticides in our soil.

It’s about heavy metals, e.g., lead, in our soil.

It’s about bits of plastic in our toothpaste.

It’s about government working through its agencies (many long established and well funded by taxpayers) to enforce laws to protect our air, water and soil.

It’s NOT about creating convoluted, manipulable and corruptible compliance schemes.

It’s about people and businesses taking responsibility for what is put in the air, water and soil.
