Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities: Spending Your Money

Are you aware that your tax dollars have recently been spent, or may be spent, on new college and university buildings in Ontario?

Here are some examples:

– the new $17 Million Western Centre for Public Health & Family Medicine at Western University, London, opened October 2013

– the new $35 Million Senator David Braley Athletic & Recreation Facility at Mohawk College, Hamilton, opened September 2013

– The proposed $58 Million Laurier Brantford/YMCA Athletics-Recreation Complex at The University of Wilfrid Laurier, Brantford

The Ontario debt (public-held) sits at about $275 Billion.  That’s with a “B.”

What do you think about the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities spending millions of your money on non-essential new buildings?
