Premier Danny Williams Gets It

The resignation of Premier Williams of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada shows that he is a rare public servant.  He understands that having a leadership role in the public service is not something one does forever.  He got into public service ten years ago with goals in mind because he thought that he could make a difference.  Satisfied with his accomplishments, he said that it was time to “pass it over to new leadership, new policies, new ideas and new direction.”  If all people in the public service had Premier Williams’ insight, we would not need term limits.
