Return anything you got for Christmas that starts with “SMART”

With the Christmas hustle and bustle you may have missed the report from Ontario’s auditor general, Ms. Bonnie Lysyk.  Ms. Christina Blizzard’s article, “One boondoggle after another at Queen’s Park” gives us the low-down on how Ontario is smarting from the mismanagement of the 1.9 Billion “SMART” meter program.

We become possessed by presumably “SMART” devices and forget that smart actions count for more.

In “MaRS bad value for taxpayers:  AG” Ms. Antonella Artuso rounds out the summary of the auditor general’s report.  Here we learn about the waiting list of people with developmental disabilities for residential support.  It’s estimated that it would take 22 years to clear if no one else needed services in that period.

Suddenly, base-ball diamonds, curling rinks, and athletics complexes in general are not top of mind.
