Up Goes the Opportunity Cost of the Gretzky Recreation Centre

The taxpayer funded multimillion-dollar redo of the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford, Ontario resulted in 11,000 square feet of unused space.

Brantford is plagued with unused space in buildings.  Why approve a new building that adds to this problem?

This error in planning/design, coupled with the cost overruns reported last year, increases the opportunity cost of this recreation centre.

Can taxpayers afford another recreation centre in Brantford?

Can taxpayers afford the proposed Laurier/Y?
