Ontario’s haywire hydro

If you thought the 1 November 2015 hike in your hydro bill was it for a while, think again.  As of 1 January 2016, there are more shocks to absorb, or not.

The unconscionable part of all this is Ontario sells excess electricity at a loss.  Last June, Ontario exported electricity to Michigan, New York and Quebec.  “Ontario was paid $29.1 Million for those exports. Unfortunately, it cost provincial ratepayers $249.9 Million to produce that same electricity.”  Ms. Christina Blizzard gives us more shameful detail here.
